Gina Silva

Centre Supervisor, RECE

Ms. Gina brings 36 years of experience in the childcare field, including 16 years as an Early Childhood Educator and 20 years as Supervisor at various childcare centres. Her passion for working with children and their families grows stronger every day, and we're excited for her to share her wealth of knowledge with our children, parents, and staff.

Ms. Gina's childcare philosophy centers on creating an environment that encourages independence, creativity, and confidence in children. She believes that fostering self-esteem, self-discipline, respect for others, and a love for learning is essential for a child's growth. By offering support and guidance as children explore their individual interests, Gina helps them develop critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

In addition to her professional background, Ms. Gina is a proud mother of three grown children. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, reading, enjoying live music, watching movies, attending live theater, and volunteering in her community.

Jessica Yik

Director

With over 25 years of experience in the world of dance, Jessica has applied her degree in Dance from York University and dedicated her career to working with individuals of all ages in the expression of movements. As the artistic director and co-owner of a community-focused dance studio for over 14 years, she played an instrumental role in fostering a love for dance and family among her students. Today, she continues to teach with the same passion and enthusiasm that has defined her career.

As a mother of two young children, Jessica strongly believes in the power of nurturing relationships to facilitate learning. She places a particular emphasis on kindness and self-improvement in her teaching approach, recognizing their importance in cultivating not just better dancers, but better individuals.

Jeff Yee

Director

Jeff is an accomplished Test Automation Development Manager, currently employed with a leading tech company in Waterloo. With over two decades of experience in software engineering and as an alumnus of the University of Waterloo, Jeff has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in his field.

As a father of two, Jeff prioritizes spending quality time with his children, particularly by accompanying them to their dance and music activities. He recognizes the importance of nurturing relationships in a child's development, and he firmly believes that consistency in these relationships is critical for fostering intellectual and social growth.

Nelson Yik

Director

Throughout his life, Nelson has been dedicated to cultivating growth and learning for people of all ages. As a young individual, he organized and managed sports and computer summer camps for children between the ages of 5 and 12 at Seneca College. With over 20+ years of software leadership experience as a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, he recognizes the importance of education, especially in early childhood, that is key to critical thinking.

As a father of two young children, Nelson understands the significance of laying the foundation for their future success. He truly believes that fostering healthy relationships and offering guidance from an early age is essential in the development of any child.

Riza Yee

Director

Riza has gained extensive expertise in software engineering, with a career spanning over 20 years. She currently serves as a Team Lead at a technology company located in Kitchener, leveraging her degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Apart from her professional pursuits, Riza is a dedicated mother of two children who excel in academics and the arts. Her experience as a parent has further reinforced her belief in the value of a well-rounded education that nurtures development in all areas.

Riza has a natural talent for working with children and is committed to creating a safe and stimulating environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
